The freedom to be yourself – and succeed

September 28, 2007 at 1:01 am | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

Hey Val,

People always ask me “What’s the key to your success, Rich?”

Well, there’s only one thing that really stands out in my mind…

Playing to my strengths.

Do you know your true strengths? Strengths capable of propelling you to the kind of success you dream about every day?

I often ask my coaching clients this same question. Because this is really the starting point for anything you want to accomplish in life.
And you’d be surprised how many people can’t answer this simple question.

Can you?

When you think about it, how in the world can you expect to gain an advantage in your marketplace if you don’t know your strengths?

My number one recommendation to anyone starting or building a business is this…

Avoid the biggest mistake most online business owners make – find out what your strengths are using a scientific testing method, then leverage your strengths every day.

There are a few serious questions you should ask yourself, like:

  • Do you have a problem getting started on tasks and projects?
  • When you start something, is it practically impossible to see it through to completion?
  • Do you struggle with things you are not good at, hoping you’ll get better?
  • Do you not have enough time for the most profitable activities in your business?

Well don’t feel bad, you’re not alone. Many business owners fall into this same trap. Where you work like a dog but never seem to get much accomplished. Sound familiar?

So now you realize it’s time to fix this situation. And I’m going to help you…

How?

You are one of the first people that gets to take advantage of my new Strengths Mastery Advantage system.

The Strengths Mastery Advantage

Through a scientifically proven testing platform, you can find out – without a doubt – exactly what your strengths are. And that’s just the beginning of a process that will transform your business and everything you do.

There’s so much to share with you, I just don’t have the space in this message. So go to the web page below to find out all the details.

I’m a living proof that focusing on your strengths and managing your weaknesses leads to success in business. In fact, it’s my secret weapon that’s enabled me to become the coach to the Internet gurus.

See you there.

Respect Me in the Morning

Hey Val,

Is your online business struggling for respect and attention?
If so, it’s time to market your business so it gets both – and a lot of customers as well.

You’ve probably noticed that the last series on my blog dealt with attention – how to get it, how to hold it, and what kind of influence you can have with it.

I’d like to switch gears to marketing now and how it can help really build your online business.

I’ve enlisted comedian Rodney Dangerfield (R.I.P.) to help. His “no respect” schtick is perfectly suited for this task.

Consider this question: If you market to your prospects and give them exactly what they want, will they still respect you in the morning?

And will that respect command attention?

So put on your red tie, bug out your eyes, and speak in your best Rodney Dangerfield voice: “I tell you… I get no respect… no respect at all.”

Maybe Rodney couldn’t, but you can…

Go here and leave me your comment.

Under the Influence of Attention

September 18, 2007 at 10:58 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

How influential are you?

Tough question, isn’t it? I encourage you to give it serious thought. First, let’s define the term to avoid confusion. Influence is the ability to become a compelling force on others. It is an ingredient of persuasion. Influence spreads quickly and easily among an audience. (Don’t confuse this with influenza… That’s something altogether different.) Influence can bring greater attention to the influencer as ideas and emotions are spread…

You have to know this first…

Hi Val,

Today I’d like to ask an important question. And it’s totally related to focusing attention on the success of your online business.

Considering how valuable and limited your attention is, you must address this question or risk focusing on tasks that are not going to get you where you want to be.

So take a few minutes now to read today’s post here, and really think about the question.

Let me know how this question affects what you do every day. You can post your comments on my blog.

Your answer could spark the minds of your fellow entrepreneurs.

To Higher Profits,
Rich Schefren

P.S. On Wednesday September 19th, I’ll be doing a live webinar with the founder of the autopilot system I use to manage my leads, orders and customers – Infusion CRM.

You can register for the webinar here

If you are doing all of your marketing by hand now, this will be an eye-opening session for you. And if you’re using a marketing automation tool already; but wish it could do more – you’ll find the system I use every day to be an exciting discovery.

How to easily systematize your business…

September 12, 2007 at 5:34 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

Hi Val,

If you’ve been with me for any length of time, you know my biggest rule for building a real business is systematizing everything you possibly can.

Having systems in your business enables you to map out processes in a logical way that is easy to follow. This comes in handy when you delegate a task you’ve been doing yourself.

And it’s also useful when you replace an employee and want the new team member to be able to hit the ground running… without a time-consuming learning curve first.

That’s why I’ m such a big believer in creating and using process maps, as I mentioned in my recent message about the upcoming Agora Info-Marketing Conference.

Other very important aspects of your Internet business that can be easily systematized are your lead generation, customer acquisition and customer relationship activities.

In fact, if you don’t systematize this area of your business, you’ll soon find out all of these details are too overwhelming to handle manually.

If I didn’t have an autopilot system to manage all of the leads, new orders and customer relationships for Strategic Profits, I would hate to see what my business would look like today. If I even had a business anymore…

People are always asking me how I do this and how I do that in my business. When the conversation has to do with managing my leads, orders and customer relations, I have one bit of advice that will help anyone systematize all of this…

Put your marketing on autopilot as much as you can.
I’m writing you today to let you know about a special strategy session coming up on this very topic. One I know will steer your business in the right direction for massive growth and higher profits in the months ahead.

On Wednesday September 19th, I’ll be doing a live teleseminar with the founder of the autopilot system I use to manage my leads, orders and customers – Infusion CRM.

You can register for the call here

I’m very happy with Scott Martineau’s automation system, as are many other prominent Internet marketers who also use Infusion.
That’s why I’ll be getting Scott to reveal the steps you can take to maximize your marketing and your business, putting them totally on autopilot.

So join me and Scott on September 19th and discover how you can systematize your marketing quickly and easily.

Visit this web page now and reserve your spot for this one-time call:

If you’re doing all of your marketing by hand now, this will be an eye-opening session for you. And if you’re using a marketing automation tool already –  but wish it could do more – you’ll find the system I use every day to be an exciting discovery.

See you on the call.

To Higher Profits,

Rich Schefren

P.S. If you’re not using any systems in your business right now, consider this your wake-up call. I’m serious. Without systems and automation, your days will only get longer. And your income might stay the same… if you ‘re lucky.

But to really build your business… that means getting more sales, banking more profits and having more time off… grab your spot for this call with Scott now. He’s only arranged for 250 lines, which will fill up fast…

Garbage for some, Diamonds for others…

September 10, 2007 at 9:51 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

Hey Val,

Some people wonder if I really read all of the comments my readers post on the blog.

Well I do, and I want to share a few very observant comments with you, before I invite you to check out the follow-up to our last Attention Hog post…

Our reader Bill R. was speaking of one of his Attention Hogs  — e-mail — as “mostly junk, with occasional gems…”

Fred R. had this striking revelation: “Our position in our society is the sum total of the choices that we have made in life. And, information is one of those choices. It all depends on how we use it. What is garbage for some people can be diamond for others. “

Here’s part of what Ken F. shared: “I long ago realized that there is trash that is unworthy of my attention… I very much consider your e-mails (and blog entries) one of my better investments of attention for learning purposes…”

And as a side note to Scott Y… Yes, Scott, you do have my attention.
And to Kristina from Bulgaria… Thanks for your kind comments. I assure you I am not a machine. 🙂

Click here to read today’s blog post and you’ll see why I create these posts for you on a regular basis.

As long as you fully realize the value of the attention you pay, and make the right choices based on that value, you’ll always get something useful in return.

P.S. You’ll also see how online business owners have leveraged this philosophy time and time again… to make gold out of straw. Really.

A message from my "Favorite Hog’

September 7, 2007 at 7:07 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

Hey Val,

How many people can you think of who demand your attention every day?

And how many people do you give YOUR attention to without them directly asking for it?

Well, today I hope to open your eyes to these people and the events that regularly take your attention without asking.

If you’re like many, you give it to them freely before you even realize what’s going on…

So I want to be different. Because you are one of my readers, you have earned my attention.

That’s right. You now have MY full attention.

I really want to know what you think about today’s blog post. I would also like to see who’s on your list of Attention Hogs.

After you’ve read the post and made your list, go ahead and post your comments and your Hog list.

You have given me so much of your attention in the past, it’s my obligation to give you my attention now.

So tell me what you have to say… I’m listening.

To Higher Profits,
Rich Schefren

P.S. You can look at some of the Hog lists posted by other readers if you need some help getting started. Then I’m sure you’ll have all the inspiration you’ll need to create a long list yourself.

Happy Hog Hunting!

Starbucks and Apple have it. Do you?

September 6, 2007 at 3:48 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

Hey Val,

How was Starbucks able to build its empire when people have already been drinking coffee for decades?

How did Apple create such a devoted following of passionate fans?

These successful companies leave clues about how to capture and hold the attention of their target audience. The bottom line – they’ve made a long-lasting connection with their customers.

What about you? Do you have this kind of connection with your market – like Apple and Starbucks do?

Think about this…

If 100,000 of your perfect prospects showed up at your Web site today – right now – would you be able to capture AND HOLD their attention?

Check out my blog – and leave with a whole new perspective on getting your prospects’ attention and keeping it…

Find your attention bubble yet?

September 5, 2007 at 3:03 am | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

Just received from Rich today:

Hey Val,

As you all know, part 2 of The Attention Age Doctrine will be released very soon. I thought it would be a good idea to keep your brain juices flowing on The Attention Age itself – what it brings to the table – and also show you how you can really optimize your productivity and attention for profit.

I’ve created a quick exercise on how to create your own attention bubble – a bubble where you can really get things accomplished.
In order for you to actually create your “happy” bubble, you have to first be able to know what THE ATTENTION AGE demands of you… and how mastering it will really propel your business.
